For our February meeting, we watched a leadership video, learning about empathy, decision making, passion, patience, persistence, resilience, and gratitude. We also thought about how we can promote these leadership practices into our lives. We discussed the Wish of a Lifetime Valentines Event, which involves sending Valentine's cards to the elderly to help with loneliness and depression during the current pandemic.

For the January meeting, we played a game where we tried to guess each other's baby pictures. We also learned about proper social distancing and how to estimate the appropriate distance you should keep from people.

During the November Student Council meeting, we played different ice breaker games to get to know each other a little better. Prior to the meeting, we collected canned goods for the CCUMC Food Pantry.

For the October meeting, we brainstormed ideas for possible service projects we could do virtually. We also participated in the official mock election set up by the NC Association of Student Council.

The Student Council 2020-2021 officer installation this year was socially distanced and the students used masks. We had to use these precautions because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
